Comedian Turned Senator Belts Out National Anthem, Set To Hendrix, At National's Game
"And his voice sounded just like Carey Mariah's," said one impressed baseball fan. "It was amazing how he hit all the high notes, complete with transitions from one range to the next; the voice that came out of his mouth was dazzling, albeit female."
The senator's press office responded swiftly in an effort to squash any negative speculation. "There is no truth to some rumors that senator Frank Allen was lipsyching. The guitar accompaniment was disclosed as being prerecorded, I mean that was Hendrix, no one could come close to duplicating that. His voice, however, was 100 percent genuine." The release went on to explain, "He trained with a voice coach extensively to reach that level of excellence."
Still, many bloggers continue their chatter about comparisons to Milli Vanilla, with some exclaiming it is the best joke he has ever made. Others claim that honor goes to his senate bid. The Censorship Czar has made a commitment to sensor many blog sites in the wake of negative chatter. Allen's album, "The Emancipation of Frankie" is set for release on July 4, 2011.
