Former Doo-Wop Group, Foursquares, Making Speedy and Successful Transition To Death Metal
"We just realized Death Metal is much more fun," says the leader of Foursquares, "And bookings are through the roof. After the untimely death of our songwriter in a freak juicing accident, we changed our outlook on life 180 degrees, and our wide range of talents has made the switch easy," he continued.
Even before the accident, the band members had been experimenting with other styles. "Nigel just picked up his guitar, and we couldn't get those three power chords out of our heads. Frank started yelling some of our lyrics into the mic, and Billy sang 'Bom, bom, bom, bom,' vocally for the bass, but has since learned a few notes on a real bass guitar," he stated.
"We still write our stuff in the original format, but we have switched over to finalizing the songs by playing instruments," the leader continued. "While we have lost some fans, we have picked up more, and the average age keeps getting lower and lower. That says great things about our marketability now and into the future. And our messages have treaded the fine line of giving the fans the raw meat they crave, while keeping them alive so the can buy more albums." He finished by adding, "Our new fans have been very tolerant of our past endeavors as well, and we would thank them, but that is just kind of understood."
