Weird "Yank" Alovich's Son Chip Off the Old Block
According to Weird "Yank" himself, his three year old son is displaying many of the characteristics that made the elder the longest running parody chart-topper of all time. Little Allen showed the talent before the age of three when he repeated "Big Bird, Bird Bird, Big Bird is the Word." "It was one of the first sentences he completed, much less songs he sang," claims the singer and songwriter.
"Just yesterday, barely the age of three, he began rewriting Prince's 1999," states "Yank." "We are into big boy seats, and he came up with lyrics that made me laugh till it hurt. My boy sang, almost perfectly, 'Two thousand zero, zero, poopy over, whoops out of time,' then I chimed in 'So tonight...' and he continued 'we're gonna potty like it's 1999.'" "Yank" welled up with tears of joy in his eyes.
"He knows the routine already," finishes Alovich, "He has started work on two other good ones. For example, in place of Bette Midler's 'Wind Beneath My Wings,' my boy sings 'Did you ever know that you're a weirdo?' Also, he really gets a kick changing the words to Toby Keith songs, one of them being 'I wanna talk about pee...' Well, that isn't his best work, but it's a step in the right direction. He is growing up fast, just the other day, he wanted a big boy cup, he said to me, 'Daddy, I don't need my Lady Ba Ba anymore."
