Little Richard is back on the radar with a new tell-all book about, yes, the time he spent with the CIA? "My mission was to beat out Fats Domino. I'll never know why. I completed the mission, and I did it well." He continues, "But now they haven't paid me or made contact for over thirty years. I think the time has come to make a stand. I've kept this in for way too long, and it is really eating at me," he finishes. Many, however, feel he is making extravagant claims to regain a spot in the limelight.
In another excerpt released to the AP he adds, "Most people believe federal agents are aggressive and clean-cut. That is precisely why i was so good at what I did...and if I even sensed someone was catching on, I would throw them off the track by breaking out into song in mid-sentence." "I can't claim it was all me," he adds, "I had some really talented handlers. Bottom line, it's been over thirty years, and they really hurt my feelings, as well as my pocket book."
One source, identified as a family friend by the AP, would only say, "I hope he sells a lot of books. He seems very convinced of what he is saying, but he needs help." She continued, "Years of hard living have really made a mess of his current existence. We wish him the best," she said as she turned away. Some sources stated she was heard screaming into her phone as she entered the subway, exclaiming, "Tango, if you even mention Munich, it's curtains!" Perhaps this was a publicity stunt as well, sources explained.
